Ludy's Peanut Butter Causes Salmonella

"According to a television report, Ludy's Peanut Butter of Samuya Food Corporation had been found tainted with salmonella, an organism that causes diarrhea, infection, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and fever among humans."

As a child I always wanted to eat peanut butter alone as my snack. My mother advised me it is healthier compared to junk foods. But what on earth happened to my once favorite type of snack? This week's report just said that a brand of peanut butter, Ludy's, has been tainted with salmonella. As a safety precaution, families are now discouraging, worse preventing their children to eat peanut butter nowadays. Not only will this affect the socio economic of the peanut butter industry but more on the health measures of the Filipinos.

What happened to our foods nowadays? Are they that unsanitary? After the Albertos Pizza food poisoning, comes the sweet disease-causing peanut butter!
